What is WYSIWYG?

WYSIWYG stands for, What You See Is What You Get.

Put simply, it’s most commonly used to describe an interface which allows a user to do something and see the results in real time.

A WYWISYG editor can be thought of as a web based version of Microsoft Word (or any other editor!). It allows you to edit text in a live window – seeing the changes as you do them. For example, making a word bold.
